Gourds he shook
eyes opened wideevil spirits to hunt
pitiful we, to save.
Up and down he jumped
mad man akin
ancestors to convene
pitiful we, to free.
Hoarsely he spoke
before hard slap
evil spirits to beat
pitiful we, to leave.
Eyes he told
on the ground to stay
as raucous noise he made
pitiful we, to free.
Loudly he spoke
at his feet to place
gifts to appease
ancestors of we.
Fetishes armed:
evil spirits to dispel,
farewell we bid
witch doctor of we
and to pitiful life
returned anew.
