where thesis morphs with antithesis
lovers eagerly forsake visas
to tiger economies and sky-scraped lands
for the sake of love
and tar dark offspring
in thatched mud huts and Savannah vistas
(The night
oh the night
– it smells like Eritreans having coffee –
or drowning in the Mediterranean)
However,
in this system that waxes solar
all we have is Syria, Prostitutes, Sin and Consequence
