Men Die When They Fall In Love

I do not feel my legs.
I think it’s them that landed first.
It seems as though flying is what
Elevated desire – set the distance
For the falling. The breaking of the
Bones and shattering of the mind
Brought the two bodies together –
And initiated the flow of emotion.
But I died without even crying.
It was silent – I just chuckled.

My woman – she falls onto me
Like a vivacious child, so her spirits
Can be propelled to a height that
Doubles hers a hundred times.
How I wish she knew that I am a
Contracted airbag! When life
Was escaping from my torso –
Her full attention was on my smile.
She did not hear my heart explode
Or my blood boiling unrestrained.
Her full attention was on my lips.
But I died without even crying.
It was silent – I just chuckled.
